Back in the slums

 We are back in the slums compared to what we had in Verona.  We get back to our apartment and find our landlord took away the remote for our fans. We were told we would have AC when we got back from Verona, not the other way around! I think it is hot enough to melt in here now.  We did find a ethernet cord in a drawer that we are using for internet sparingly....but I give it a couple of hours before she comes in and takes this away from us too. We still have water though, she hasn't taken our water away yet. 

On our last day in Verona, it rained all day again. We visited an old castle and museum that had really cool art from the 16th century.

We got back in Rome early Friday night, so we decided to do another bar crawl around Rome.  This time we started during the middle of the crawl, but for ten euros we still got a free shot and t-shirt...which convinces me every time.

4:00 am... end of the night with our free t-shirts, the final five again! (Laura, Max, both of the Katies, and me) and yes I  definitely woke up with a headache again.

Saturday was supposed to be the best night ever for all of us, our goal for the night was gay parade, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, club hopping then a 5am beach party. We found out last minute that the Gay Pride Parade was happening and we heard Lady Gaga was doing a free concert with a drag queen at the end of the parade. I already had tickets to see David Guetta so I couldn't go, but on the metro to our show we saw a couple of drag queens with gigantic wigs and a ton of make up headed to the parade.  I was bummed I wasn't able go to Lady Gaga to see all of the weirdos that go to her shows, but going to ultrasonic in Rome was still awesome.  It was just Lauren, Katy, Max and me going to ultrasonic, and the rest went to see Lady Gaga but they ended up getting to the show as soon as it was over!  No pics of crazy Lady Gaga fans :( and ultrasonic didn't end till about 3 or 4am, so when I got back everyone was already asleep..so that scratched our beach party at 5am..

We ended up leaving early, and as soon as we walked out he played Love is Gone :( I was so bummed!

 On our way home at 4am, we passed the Trevi Fountain... and there were no tourists! It was completely empty. I might visit all of the tourist spots at 4am now.

We all woke up super early and headed to the beach to make up for missing our beach party. This beach was so much nicer than Anzio, but a lot harder to get to.  It was a 35 minute metro ride to this beach and only cost four euros.

Now we all have to go back to class on Monday and start studying for our first exam.  We are going to a Chinese restaurant  tonight here, hopefully they don't serve us anything weird.
